PetChem, LG Chem to build nitrile butadiene latex plant

KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd (PetChem) is partnering LG Chem Ltd to build a nitrile butadiene latex (NBL) manufacturing plant at Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) in Johor.

In a statement, PetChem said construction of the plant will begin in 2021 while production is scheduled to start in 2023.
