LPI earnings up 9.35% to RM77.4mil in second quarter


In a statement, LPI chairman and founder Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow (pic) said LPI was affected by the lockdown imposed during the various phases of movement control order (MCO) and disruption of business activities.

PETALING JAYA: LPI Capital Bhd posted a 9.35% year-on-year increase in net profit to RM77.4mil for the second quarter ended June 30,2020, bringing its net profit for the first half of the financial year to RM155.32mil.

The general insurer and financier attributed the improved earnings to strong underwriting profit reported by its wholly-owned insurance subsidiary Lonpac Insurance Bhd.
