MISC moves closer to deal with Petrobras for production facility


KUALA LUMPUR: MISC Bhd has accepted a letter of intent from Petroleo Brasileiro to provide a floating production storage and offloading facility (FPSO), offshore Rio de Janeiro, and also operations and maintenance services.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Monday, the group said the Mero 3 FPSO is expected to start operations in the first half of 2024 with the term of the charter being 22.5 years from the date of the final acceptance of the FPSO by Petrobras.
