KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI declined in Friday morning trade in the lead up to the midday announcement of Malaysia's second quarter gross domestic product.
In anticipation of a sharp economic contraction, investors turned to a flurry of profit-taking, bringing the FBM KLCI 13 points lower to 1,563.42 at the lunch break.
