Bahvest Resources surges as gold rallies

As gold prices rally past US$2,000 per ounce, Malaysia's sole gold miner Bahvest Resources saw its share price surge.

KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of Bahvest Resources Bhd surged to a high of 74 sen – the highest in several years – riding on the gold price rally as the precious metal climbed past US$2,000 an ounce.

At 4.05pm, it was trading at 69 sen, up 19.5 sen with 242.93 million shares done.
