PARIS: French aerospace supplier Safran halved its core profit in the first half of the year as the Covid-19 crisis gutted demand for passenger jets.
The engine maker posted a recurring operating profit of €947mil (US$1.1bil), down 49.7%, as revenues fell 28% to €8.767bil. Analysts had expected operating profit of €840mil on revenues of €8.5bil, according to Refinitiv data.
