Lotte’s second quarter earnings weighed by lower selling prices


“Demand was weak in early second quarter as regional countries continued to impose lockdowns and restrictions in their attempts to curb the Covid-19 pandemic spread, ” Lotte said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR: Lotte Chemical Titan Holding Bhd’s net profit fell 15.3% to RM88.72mil in the second quarter ended June 30,2020 compared with RM104.84mil a year ago on lower average selling prices.

Lotte said its revenue declined by 25.9% to RM1.57bil in the quarter under review from RM2.12bil a year ago as the average selling prices across its product segments from olefins and derivative and polyolefin fell.
