Gloves again in play as pharma stocks retreat


KUALA LUMPUR: Glove makers were once again in focus on Thursday as the global Covid-19 pandemic showed no signs of slowing down while pharmaceuitcal stocks saw profit taking as a conclusive vaccine was yet to be foud.

At 5pm, the FBM KLCI was up 19.44 points or 1.22% to 1,606.42. Year-to-date, it is up 1.11%. Turnover surged to 12.12 billion shares done valued at RM6.64bil. The broader market was firmer with 599 gainers, 452 losers and 422 counters unchanged.
