Cepatwawasan 2Q net profit jumps to RM4.46m


Cepatwawasan said plantation’s profit surged by more than RM2.13mil or more than 100% from loss of RM17,000 to profit of RM1.96 million mainly due to an increase in average selling price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) by 19% and a lower production cost.

KUALA LUMPUR: Plantation company Cepatwawasan Bhd’s net profit jumped 538% to RM4.46mil in the second quarter ended June 30,2020 from RM699,000 a year ago due to higher prices for its palm oil products and it expects a better performance for the year.

It announced to Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday its revenue dipped by 2% to RM51.78mil from RM52.67mil a year ago. Earnings per share were 1.44 sen compared with 0.23 sen.
