MAHB passenger traffic down in June, but signs are improving

MAHB group chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh said the latest figures were positive signs of gradual recovery for the country’s aviation industry.

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd’s (MAHB’s) passenger traffic is still down by more than 90% year-on-year (y-o-y) as of June but the group said the movements are indicating signs of revival in air travel.

It said its total network of airports including the Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport in Turkey, registered 954,000 passengers, a 92.1% decline as compared to 12.14 million passengers in June last year.
