Stock market reverses gains on profit-taking


Rakuten vice-president of equity research Vincent Lau said profit-taking activity took over in the market yesterday after five days of rally.

PETALING JAYA: The local stock market went on a roller coaster ride yesterday in anticipation of an interest rate cut by Bank Negara.

In the morning, the local benchmark index FBM KLCI surged as high as 10 points to 1,587.64, driven by rally in the US Dow Jones the night before.
