Mizuho Bank keen on ties with Sabah Development


Mizuho Bank (M) Bhd chief executive officer Shojiro Mizoguchi (pic) said the relationship would allow Mizuho in facilitating as well as bringing Japanese investors to Sabah.

KOTA KINABALU: Japanese bank Mizuho it is keen on forging a cooperative relationship with Sabah Development Bank to attract more potential investors from the country to Sabah.

Mizuho Bank (M) Bhd chief executive officer Shojiro Mizoguchi (pic) said the relationship would allow Mizuho in facilitating as well as bringing Japanese investors to Sabah.

“We are a Japanese bank. We have operated for 30 years in Malaysia and nine years in Kuala Lumpur. We try to invite Japanese investors to Sabah.

“We try to have some relationship with Sabah Development Bank and other networking here, and we discussed this with (Sabah) Chief Minister (Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal), ” he told reporters after a courtesy call on Mohd Shafie at the Sabah State Administrative Centre. — Bernama
