KUALA LUMPUR: Shares in Sasbadi Holdings Bhd jumped 26% in early trade Wednesday after announcing plans to collaborate with Huawei on the development of e-learning products.
The education publisher 26.09%, or three sen to 14.5 sen. It is currently the fourth most actively traded counter with 56.3 million shares done.
Sasbadi has entered into a memorandum of collaboration (MoC) with Huawei Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd, which includes jointly promoting Sasbadi’s e-learning products in Malaysia and Southeast Asia via Huawei cloud marketplace.
The memorandum will remain in force for two years.
Sasbadi said the objective of this MoC is for the parties to collaborate on the development of intelligent education solutions by leveraging Huawei Cloud and artificial intelligence technology and to plan, consult, develop and implement joint opportunities.
Sasbadi said the MoC is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group for the financial year ending Aug 31, 2020 31 and onwards, during the duration of the MoC.
