Hospital job boosts Zecon Q3 profit


Zecon said its gross profit was mainly contributed by the Hospital Pakar Kanak-Kanak Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HPKK) and Pan Borneo highway project.

KUALA LUMPUR: Zecon Bhd’s net profit in the third quarter ended March 31,2020 jumped by 59.6% to RM9.15mil from RM5.73mil a year ago on the back of higher revenue due to hospital and road projects.

The Sarawak construction company said in a statement that its revenue increased by 26.8% to RM143.10mil from RM112.80mil a year ago. Earnings per share were 6.35 sen compared with 4.37 sen.
