Bracing for wave two

Covid 19 case chart

THIS week, global markets were spooked by the re-emergence of Covid-19 cases in places where the deadly virus was seen to be well under control.

From Beijing to New York and from Mumbai to Moscow, incidences of Covid-19 are either rising or have reached new record highs as economies begin to open-up.

There are also reports that suggests that in the US, new cases are rising again and that they are adding to the strain of the healthcare system with hospital beds being filled-up quickly.

In places like Iran and India, fatalities too are mounting while the South American continent is the new hot-bed for total cases as countries like Brazil, Peru and Chile are now occupying spots among the top 10 nations with the most infections globally.
