Quick take: TRC Synergy shares up on RM114mil MRT2 sub-contract


KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of TRC Synergy Bhd rose marginally in early trade Thursday on news that it has secured a contract worth RM113.98mil.

The construction group rose 2.78%, or one sen to 37 sen. It is currently trading at a P/E Ratio of 8.72 times.

TRC Synergy’s wholly-owned unit, Trans Resources Corporation Sdn Bhd, has been awarded mass rapid transit (MRT) sub-contract works worth RM113.98mil.

It said the contract is for the construction and completion of elevated stations and other associated works for MRT Line 2: Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP).

TRC Synergy said barring unforeseen circumstances, the project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and earnings per share of the company in the future.
