Thousands to lose their jobs this year

AROUND 100,000 Malaysians may lose their jobs this year due to the impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic, according to a report by the Social Security Organisation’s (Socso) Employment Insurance System.

The report, published on Wednesday, said more than 15,000 workers lost their jobs in the first quarter.
