Industries compelled to leverage on technology


MPC director-general Datuk Abdul Latif Abu Seman (pic) said MPC has taken several initatives for industry players to rebuild businesses by industry capacity and capability building programme via webinars and online trainings, business virtual advisory services, as well as review of regulations to reduce unnecessary burdens in rebuilding businesses.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian companies are likely to lose up to 100% of income leading to the closure of businesses should the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic persists longer, said Malaysia Productivity Corp (MPC).

MPC said the closure of businesses may lead to other negative impacts in the workforce – increased unemployment rate, loss of assets and accumulated debts.
