RHB Bank 1Q net profit at RM570.88m


Group managing director Datuk Khairussaleh Ramli said RHB Bank group’s underlying performance in 1Q reflects its resilience and strong fundamentals despite operating under an extremely tough and unprecedented economic environment.

KUALA LUMPUR: RHB Bank Bhd's net profit for the first quarter ended March 31,2020 declined to RM570.88mil as the banking group set aside higher allowances for expected credit losses (ECL).

Announcing the results on Friday, it said the net profit for 1Q20was down by 9.4% from RM630.18mil a year ago. Its revenue fell by 3.5% to RM3.23bil from RM3.35bil a year ago. Earnings per share were 14.24 sen compared with 15.72 sen.
