More SMEs to gain from RM1bil fund


The Sarawak government, according to Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for International Trade & Industry, Industrial Terminals and Entrepreneur Development Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan (pic), will absorb the interests of such loans that would amount to RM80.7mil over three-and-half-years.

KUCHING:More small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Sarawak are set to benefit from the interest-free soft loans which has been increased to RM1bil with the participation of four more commercial banks.

The SMEs special relief fund is offered under the “Sarawakku Sayang Special Assistance Package (BKSS)” to provide the SMEs with the financial assistance to tide through and sustain their businesses during this difficult time of Covid-19 pandemic.
