Sime Darby 9M core net profit higher at RM717mil


Sime Darby group CEO Datuk Jeffri Salim Davidson said: “The solid performance of our operations in the first half of the financial year cushioned the adverse results in the third quarter. Our operations in China are now almost back to normal."

KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Bhd’s core net profit for the nine months ended March 31,2020 (9MFY20) rose by 12.7% to RM717mil from a year ago after excluding a RM129mil in deferred tax credit and other one-off items.

It announced on Thursday its profit before interest and tax (PBIT) for 9MFY20 rose by 7.5% to RM1.1bil from the previous corresponding period.
