Weak prices, Covid-19 weigh on Leong Hup's 1Q earnings


HI, one of the largest fully integrated producers of poultry, egg and livestock feed in Southeast Asia, reported on Tuesday its net profit fell by 64% to RM21.79mil from RM60.58mil a year ago.

KUALA LUMPUR: Leong Hup International Bhd (LHI) posted lower earnings and revenue in the first quarter ended March 31,2020 impacted by overall softness in demand amid the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and weak prices.

LHI, one of the largest fully integrated producers of poultry, egg and livestock feed in Southeast Asia, reported on Tuesday its net profit fell by 64% to RM21.79mil from RM60.58mil a year ago.
