KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia closed Friday on a firmer note as advancing stocks beat decliners, reflecting a more optimistic outlook from investors, as hopes of better US-China trade ties also helped the local bourse and key Asian markets.
At 5pm, the KLCI had closed up 5.38 points or 0.39% to 1,382.31. Turnover was 4.68 billion units worth RM2.73bil. There were 540 gainers, 340 losers and 397 counters unchanged.
