TM deploys mass screening cameras at MAEPS

Mass screening: The TM EWAR thermal camera can simultaneously screen up to 15 people for fever.

SERDANG: Telekom Malaysia Bhd’s EWAR mass screening thermal cameras which can detect people with fever in a crowd have been installed at the Covid-19 quarantine and treatment centre at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park (MAEPS) here.

“EWAR thermal cameras at MAEPS will help to facilitate contactless mass screening of the medical teams and frontliners, which we believe will greatly increase the operational efficiency of the centre, ” said TM R&D chief executive officer Dr Sharlene Thiagarajah.

The Early Warning, Alert & Response system is TM Research & Development’s latest commercial solution that can screen up to 15 people per second simultaneously, eliminating multiple and time-consuming manual body temperature screenings.
