F&N Q2 net profit and revenue ease marginally

In a statement, the group said Food & Beverages Malaysia’s (F&B Malaysia) revenue for the quarter, which declined by 7.8% to RM499.2mil was on the back of an earlier sell-in for Chinese New Year; and the impact of the MCO, although this was partially offset by higher growth in export revenue especially in the Asean and Greater China region.

PETALING JAYA: Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd (F&N) saw its net profit and revenue for the second quarter ease marginally by 2.15% to RM102.1mil and by 1.9% to RM1bil respectively, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the movement control order (MCO) on consumer demand.

Group operating profit and profit before tax for the period were maintained at RM130mil and RM134mil respectively, with positive contribution from its associate Food & Beverage (F&B) Thailand.
