Sapura Energy unveils internal austerity measures


President and group chief executive officer Tan Sri Shahril Shamsuddin said the austerity measures also included readjustment of employees’ salaries of between 5% and 45% across the board, effective post-Ramadan as well as the reduction of its workforce.

PETALING JAYA: Sapura Energy Bhd’s senior management will be taking a 50% pay cut with immediate effect, as part of its internal austerity measures to mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and falling oil prices.

In a statement, president and group chief executive officer Tan Sri Shahril Shamsuddin said the austerity measures also included readjustment of employees’ salaries of between 5% and 45% across the board, effective post-Ramadan as well as the reduction of its workforce.
