Rubber products makers relieved SMEs can resume ops

With the critical COVID-19 situation, there is a shortage of medical gloves and related latex products, thus, the production of these critical products need to be a continuous 24-hour operation.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Rubber Products Manufacturers' Association (MRPMA) breathes sigh of relief as several small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the industry are being considered to operate in partial or full capacity under the critical sector category.

Its vice-president/chairman, Yeaw Kok Kwey said however, each company should be allowed to regulate their own operational capacity, as each of them has its own technical and operating system and should not be restricted by production limitations.
