Mild rebound on Bursa after Wall Street jump


At Bursa on Wednesday, foreign funds were again net sellers at RM136.9mil but the selling was well absorbed by local institutions which were net buyers at RM90.70mil and retail investors RM46.20mil.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia perked up early Thursday as investor sentiment was given a boost by the jump on Wall Street and recovery in crude oil prices.

At 9.17am, the FBM KLCI was up 7.63 points or 0.56% to 1,369.02. Turnover was 584.39 million shares valued at nearly RM200mil. There were 449 gainers, 57 losers and 177 counters unchanged.
