Bursa joins China, HK to swing into the red on pandemic worries

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia, China and Hong Kong markets closed in the red on Wednesday as initial hopes of a slowdown in Covid-19 deaths evaporated again.

At 5pm, the FBM KLCI was down 8.53 points or 0.62% to 1,361.39 but off the intra-day low. Turnover was still high at 5.36 billion shares valued at RM2.66bil. Decliners beat advancers two to one or 617 losers to 316 gainers and 318 counters unchanged.
