Nestle to appoint two new directors

PETALING JAYA: Nestlé (Malaysia) Bhd is appointing CIMB Group group chief people officer Datuk Hamidah Naziadin and Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd director of PayTV–SVP Datin Sri Azlin Arshad as new independent and non-executive directors.

In a statement yesterday, Nestlé Malaysia said their appointments will take effect the day after the conclusion of the group’s upcoming AGM, scheduled for April 30.

Hamidah is currently serving also CIMB Foundation CEO.

She sits on Maxis Bhd board and has been appointed as a CEO Mentor as part of Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education CEO@Faculty programme.

Meanwhile, Azlin is currently serving as acting head at Astro Awani and deputy chairman of Syarikat Takaful Keluarga Malaysia Bhd.

She has a decade of senior management expertise in various industries.

She was previously vice president of Johor Corp’s industrial development division, QSR Holdings Bhd board member and NJOI’s COO.
