Sapura Energy may make one-off asset provision

“We maintain our ‘sell’ call on Sapura Energy with a lower fair value of 4 sen per share from seven sen previously, ” AmInvestment Research said in a report.

PETALING JAYA: The plunge in global crude oil price could see Sapura Energy Bhd make a one-off non-core asset provision, according to AmInvestment Research.

The research house said Sapura Energy stock was traded at a distressed forecast price-to-book value for the financial year (FY) ending Jan 31,2022, of 0.1 times due to its persistent losses and high gearing of 0.7 times.
