Bursa ends wild week up 6.8% to 1,303 points


At Bursa, Public Bank jumped RM1.30 to RM13.96, Hong Leong Bank added 94 sen to RM12.92, HLFG 90 sen to RM12.28.

KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks on Bursa Malaysia staged a strong rebound on Friday, after weeks of sharp declines, as bargain hunters swooped in to pick up battered stocks spurred by global central banks’ measures to cushion the fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the close, the FBM KLCI surged 6.8%, or 83.56 points to 1,303.28 points.
