REVIEW: The headwinds that have been building over recent weeks have turned into a gale that’s hammering global financial markets and triggered recession fears.
During the course of the week, investors’ focus was split between the price war waged between oil producers and the Covid-19 outbreak, which as at Thursday morning was officially declared a global pandemic. The latter event would sweep up the world’s markets and pull Wall Street into bear territory for the first time in 11 years.
