Bursa stages mild rebound, PChem and banks lift


At Bursa on Monday, foreign funds stepped up their selling at net RM459.90mil but the selling was absorbed by local institutions which were net buyers at RM188.4mil and retail investors at RM271.5mil.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia staged a mild rebound early Tuesday after the selldown the previous day as investors picked up battered down stocks including Petronas Chemicals and banks.

At 9.12am, the FBM KLCI was up 7.75 points or 0.54% to 1,431.91. Turnover was 455.28 million shares valued at RM251.15mil. Decliners beat advancers 387 to 177 while 212 counters were unchanged.
