KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia and key Asian markets closed higher on hopes the stimulus packages and cuts in interest rates would lift the battered equities.
At 5pm, the KLCI was up 11.31 points or 0.76% to 1,489.95. Turnover was 2.99 billion shares valued at RM2.37bil. There were 431 gainers, 464 losers and 338 counters unchanged.
