Tenaga FY19 net profit up 21.6% to RM4.53b, dividend 70c


Its president and CEO Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan described the group’s financial performance in FY19 as “reasonable” amid operational challenges faced by TNB’s Generation business in the last quarter, resulting in a lower contribution to the Group.

KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd posted a strong set of earnings in the financial year ended Dec 31,2019 and also in the fourth quarter which enabled the power giant to announced a dividend of 70 sen a share.

It announced on Friday its net profit rose by 21.6% to RM4.53bil from RM3.72bil in FY18. Its revenue rose by 1.1% to RM50.94bil from RM50.39bil a year ago.
