Axiata posts stellar results in 4Q and FY19


Axiata president and group CEO Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim said: “The group’s 2019 performance reflects the well-executed strategies and adjustments made in response to the hyper competitive and fast shifting industry landscape. KUALA LUMPUR: Axiata Group Bhd posted a set of stellar results for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31,2019 and also for the financial year, which was a turnaround from the losses in FY18 where there was a one-off impairment.

In a statement to Bursa Malaysia on Friday, it announced net profit of RM332.56mil in the fourth quarter compared with a net loss of RM1.43bil a year ago.
