Microlink bags RM35.7mil IRB job

In a statement yesterday, Microlink said its subsidiary Applied Business Systems (ABS) has received an order from Strateq Sdn Bhd for jobs involving supply, delivery, installation and maintenance of hardware and software for the Hasil Integrated Tax System operated by IRB.

PETALING JAYA: MICROLINK SOLUTIONS BHD has received a contract worth RM35.7mil to supply computer systems that will be deployed for the Malaysian tax authority Inland Revenue Board (IRB).

In a statement yesterday, Microlink said its subsidiary Applied Business Systems (ABS) has received an order from Strateq Sdn Bhd for jobs involving supply, delivery, installation and maintenance of hardware and software for the Hasil Integrated Tax System operated by IRB.

The job is estimated to start by the end of this month spanning over three years, said Microlink.

Microlink CEO Mah Chon Cheang said “the project is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of the company for the financial year ending March 31,2020 and will continue for the duration of the contract thereafter.”

Notably, listed company Omesti Bhd has been acquiring shares in Microlink and currently owned close to 60% stake in the latter.

Shares of Microlink have risen more than double over the last six months to 92 sen apiece.
