Markets slide as death toll from coronavirus climbs

KUALA LUMPUR: Key Asian markets including Bursa Malaysia fell in early Monday trade on mounting worries about the coronavirus which has claimed the lives of more than 900 people in China.

At 9.23am, the FBM KLCI was down 11.22 points or 0.72% to 1,543.27. Turnover was 343.16 million shares valued at RM187.31mil. There were 124 gainers, 333 losers and 187 counters unchanged.
