Bursa posts lower 4Q net profit, Div 10.4c

On its outlook for the year, Bursa Malaysia said 2020 has started on a better note with broader strength in some commodity prices, de-escalation of US-China trade tensions and stronger ringgit to dollar performance.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Bhd’s net profit for its fourth quarter ended Dec 31,2019 (4Q FY19) dropped to RM45.56mil from RM51.86mil a year ago, due to lower segment profits recorded during the quarter.

In a filing on Thursday, the stock exchange operator said revenue in 4Q FY19 was flat at RM129.33mil from RM128.92mil a year earlier.
