Another cautious start for Bursa


On Bursa on Wednesday, local institutions were net buyers at RM173.6mil while retail investors continued to raise their stakes as their net buying rose to RM60.5mil. Foreign funds were net sellers at RM234.1mil.

KUALA LUMPUR: Blue chips fell in early Thursday trading on Bursa Malaysia, tracking the mixed key Asian markets as investors worried about the widening impact of the coronavirus as the death toll climbed.

At 9.27am, the FBM KLCI was down 7.23 points or 0.47% to 1,543.24. Turnover was 382.15mil shares valued at RM202.32mil. There were 162 gainers, 263 losers and 228 counters unchanged.
