KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's inflation rate rose by 1% in December last year, in line with a Bloomberg forecast, underpinned by higher food prices, with Kuala Lumpur exceeding the national average.
The Statistics Department announced on Wednesday the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1% in December to 122.3 compared with 121.1 a year ago.
