CIMB Thai closes two sub-branches in Thailand

PETALING JAYA: CIMB Thai Bank (CIMBT) has closed two sub-branches in 7-Eleven convenience stores in Thailand even as digital banking begins to gain traction in the country.

An article published by Bangkok Post yesterday said CIMB Thai Bank (CIMBT), part of Malaysia’s second largest lender, CIMB Group Holdings Bhd had “shuttered two sub-branches in 7-Eleven convenience stores because of tepid transactions amid an upsurge in digital banking.”
