Asian markets, Bursa rebound as Mideast fears subside


KUALA LUMPUR: Asian markets led by Japan's Nikkei 225 rebounded on Thursday, with Bursa Malaysia riding on the coattails of improved investor sentiment as fears of escalating Mideast tensions subsided.

At 12.30pm, the KLCI was up 3.69 points or 0.23% to 1,592.79. Turnover was 1.55 billion shares valued at RM817.77mil. There were 511 gainers, 210 losers and 329 counters unchanged, reflecting the improved sentiment across the broader market.
