Nov exports down 5.5% to RM80.8bil

KUALA LUMPUR: For November, Malaysian exports contracted 5.5% from a year ago to RM80.8bil on declines in demand for manufactured, mining and agriculture goods.

A Bloomberg survey of analysts had expected no change to the value of the country’s exports from a year ago. Along with the contraction in exports, the trade surplus for the month fell 23.1% to RM6.54bil as compared to RM8.5bil in November 2018.
