KUALA LUMPUR: Risk appetite for stocks perked up in late Monday trade as fund buying of Tenaga Nasional, Maybank and Sime Plantation helped the FBM KLCI to close on a firmer note.
At 5pm, the KLCI was up 5.06 points or 0.31% to 1,615.67 but year-to-date, it is down 4.43%. Turnover was 2.34 billion shares valued at RM1.64bil. There were 460 gainers, 378 losers and 409 counters unchanged.
