CIMB offers relief to flood victims

PETALING JAYA: CIMB Bank Bhd and CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd will be offering their customers and employees, who were affected by floods, repayment relief on various loan and financing products to reduce their burden.

The bank said it would be granting a six-month repayment relief, which would be applicable to all secured individual and small and medium enterprise (SME) loans and financing.

This included home financing, business premises financing, Amanah Saham Bumiputra financing, SME Biz Property Financing and SME Quick Biz Financing.

It will also include auto loans, personal financing and credit card interest/late charges.

“We sympathise with the losses and inconvenience faced by our customers and staff in the affected areas during this trying time.

We hope that our assistance, by way of a six-month repayment relief and waiver of fee charges, will help ease the burden experienced by flood victims, who would need every bit of support to bring their lives back to normal, ” CIMB Group CEO Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz said in the statement.
