KUCHING: The revamping of the manufacturing facilities of OCI Co Ltd in Samalaju Industrial Park in Bintulu, Sarawak, at a total cost of US$111.7mil (RM462.44mil) will drastically cut the group’s polysilicon (poly-si) production cost.
The South Korea-headquartered green energy and chemical company expects the production cost to come down by 20% year-on-year in 2019 with the full operation of the revamped manufacturing facilities, together with fixed-cost reduction.
