MANILA: The Philippines’ benchmark stock index fell as much as 2.4% on Friday to cut its gains this year to barely 0.1%.
The index slumped to as low as 7,469.41 in morning trading, touching its lowest level since Jan. 2. Volume was at 123% of the three-month daily average. It was the biggest decliner in Asia on Friday.
