Competition to impact on revenues of telcos next year

“We keep our neutral rating on the telco sector, given the weak mobile and fixed revenue growth prospects, ” CGS-CIMB Research.said in a note to clients yesterday.

PETALING JAYA: Competition among telecommunication companies is expected to impact on revenue growth prospects next year, according to CGS-CIMB Research.

The research house expected a 1.2% year-on-year decline in revenue for the financial year 2020 for the big three players due to tight market competition and legacy service revenue declines.
